Winemakers’ Gala & Big-Bottle Party

Travelling from the Pfalz, Weingut Lucashof of Forst an der Weinstraße is renowned for its elegant, terroir-driven Rieslings and the distinctive style of the Lucas family. From Épernay, Champagne house Perrier-Jouët brings its iconic Belle Époque. Founded in 1811, the house is renowned for its floral, elegant style, shaped by Chardonnay and immortalised in the famous bottles adorned with Art Nouveau anemones.

From Pauillac in the Médoc, Château Pontet-Canet brings a piece of great Bordeaux history to Lech: an 1855 Cinquième Cru, or Fifth Growth, that has long been regarded as performing at Premier Cru level. Meticulously managed according to biodynamic principles, Château Pontet-Canet was the first classified Bordeaux estate to become Demeter certified in 2010. The estate makes extensive use of horses in the vineyards, while in the amphora cellar, the hand-picked grapes make their way gently into the vessels by gravity alone, with vinification requiring virtually no electricity or pumps.

Castello di Ama brings one of Tuscany’s great names to the Schmelzhof. Situated in the heart of Chianti Classico, the estate presents two exceptional wines: the Sangiovese-led Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Vigneto Bellavista and the legendary L’Apparita, a pure Merlot served from a Salmanazar bottle that has ranked among Italy’s most celebrated wines and the world’s finest for decades. Equally remarkable is Castello di Ama’s internationally renowned contemporary art collection, which transforms the estate’s vineyards into a unique setting where wine and art converge.

From Austria, we welcome Weingut Markowitsch from Carnuntum, whose Ried Rosenberg and Mardonna Rosé, with their unwavering focus on vineyard character, have long ranked among the country’s most exciting wines.

With this exceptional line-up, the Schmelzhof will become a stage for great wines, impressive bottle formats and personal encounters with outstanding winemakers for the eleventh time. It promises to be an evening of indulgence, conversation and memorable moments that will linger long after the final glass.
