Julian Braithwaite

Julian Braithwaite is President and CEO of the International Alliance for Responsible Drinking (IARD), a global not-for-profit organisation working with governments, civil society and the private sector to reduce harmful drinking worldwide.

Before joining IARD, Braithwaite served as the UK Ambassador to the United Nations in Geneva, working closely with the World Health Organization (WHO) and other multilateral organisations. He brings extensive experience in global health governance, with a strong focus on evidence-based policy, measurable outcomes and whole-of-society approaches aligned with UN and WHO strategies.
