Théophile Cordonnier

Médoc Successor & Agroforestry Pioneer

Théophile Cordonnier belongs to the family behind Château Anthonic in Moulis-en-Médoc, one of the historic estates of the appellation. He joined the family estate in January 2020 to represent and develop its wines internationally. Together with his father Jean-Baptiste Cordonnier, he stands for a new agro-ecological perspective in the Médoc: Château Anthonic is certified organic and is regarded as a pioneer of agroforestry in Bordeaux. Beyond Château Anthonic, Théophile also helps shape the development of Château Lestage-Darquier Grand Poujeaux, acquired by the family in 2022. His work focuses on origin, biodiversity, and an independent understanding of Bordeaux beyond conventional market structures.
