Michel Théron
Vignero Clos du Jaugueyron & Margaux Individualist
Michel Théron is the vigneron behind Clos du Jaugueyron in the Médoc. Originally from the Languedoc, he came to Bordeaux in 1988 to study winemaking, where both the wines of the Médoc and his future wife Stéphanie became defining influences. The beginning of his own estate was made possible by a neighbour who leased him a small pre-phylloxera parcel in Cantenac. Today, Michel and Stéphanie Théron farm around nine hectares in Margaux and Haut-Médoc. Their work is artisanal, organic, and biodynamic, with a strong focus on living soils, biodiversity, and restrained cellar practices. The wines of Clos du Jaugueyron stand for a fresh, elegant, and distinctive interpretation of the Médoc.
