Tomas Roquette

Guardian of Crasto’s Old Vines

Tomás Roquette shapes Quinta do Crasto in the Douro together with his brother Miguel. The historic estate is located on the right bank of the Douro between Régua and Pinhão, was first recorded as a wine property in 1615, and has been owned by the Roquette family for more than a century. Since 1994, Quinta do Crasto has marketed its wines under its own name and is now one of the defining producers of Douro wines, Port, and olive oil. While Miguel Roquette focuses on marketing and sales, Tomás Roquette manages the estate. Crasto is particularly known for its old vines and icons such as Vinha da Ponte and Vinha Maria Teresa.
