Traditions-weingüter at the Rud-Alpe
The Power of Place
For Österreichische Traditionsweingüter, great wines begin in great vineyards. For this special dinner, they have chosen a location that embodies the same principle: the Rud-Alpe, one of the Arlberg’s most scenic mountain restaurants. Join the winemakers for an evening of outstanding single-vineyard wines, Alpine hospitality and breathtaking views.
Traditions-weingüter at the Rud-Alpe
For Österreichische Traditionsweingüter, everything begins with origin. For decades, the association has championed the country’s finest vineyard sites, demonstrating how profoundly place shapes the character, finesse and longevity of a wine. Whether Riesling, Grüner Veltliner, Gemischter Satz, Blaufränkisch or red blends, their wines are united by a strong sense of provenance and the distinctive expression of their respective vineyards.
For their dinner at Weinberg Arlberg, the Österreichische Traditionsweingüter have therefore chosen a venue that is defined by its own remarkable location: the Rud-Alpe. Perched high above Lech, with sweeping views across the valley, genuine Alpine hospitality and a cuisine full of warmth and character, it is one of the most atmospheric places in the Arlberg region.
Guests who wish to begin the evening in a particularly memorable way are invited to join the winemakers on a guided walk up to the Rudalpe. The meeting point is the village fountain in Lech at 6:00 pm. Upon arrival, a carefully prepared dinner awaits, accompanied by a selection of outstanding wines from some of Austria’s most celebrated vineyard sites, presented by the winemakers themselves.
As the evening draws to a close, the experience continues with a traditional torchlit walk back down to the village — a fitting finale to a night dedicated to great vineyards, great food and one of the most beautiful settings in the Alps.
