Franz Hofbauer and Michael Linke are among the most exciting voices of the new generation in Austria’s Wachau region. After gaining experience at renowned wineries across Austria, Germany, Australia and New Zealand, they founded Grabenwerkstatt in 2014 in the Spitzer Graben. Inspired by their time at Pyramid Valley Vineyards in New Zealand, they pursue a rigorous philosophy of site expression through organic viticulture, meticulous manual work and a deep focus on Grüner Veltliner and Riesling. Their wines are celebrated for their precision, purity and distinctive expression of the unique terroirs of the Spitzer Graben.
