One Region. Five Winemakers. Five Distinct Voices.
Dinner 'Wachau from a different Perspektive'
Five independent Wachau winemakers present their individual interpretation of one of Europe’s great wine regions. Each winemaker pairs a course of a specially created five-course menu from the Kristberg kitchen with two to three wines from different vintages or vineyard sites. An evening that reveals the diversity of the Wachau through five unique perspectives.
Details
The Wachau is one of Europe’s most celebrated wine regions, renowned for its distinctive vineyards and world-class Rieslings. Yet beyond well-known classifications and stylistic conventions, a number of independent producers have chosen to follow their own path.
Under the title “Wachau from a Different Perspective”, F.X. Pichler, Pichler-Krutzler, Veyder-Malberg, Martin Muthenthaler and Grabenwerkstatt present their individual interpretation of the Wachau and demonstrate how diverse Riesling from the same region can be.
Each winery accompanies one course of a specially created five-course menu by the Kristberg kitchen, presenting two to three wines from different vintages or vineyard sites. The result is a rare opportunity to experience each estate’s philosophy, stylistic evolution and sense of place side by side.
Rather than focusing on classification, this dinner celebrates personality, origin and the many different ways in which a single wine region can express itself.
