Winemaker Dinner with Rising Star Julian Haart
Julian Haart counts among the most compelling voices of the young Mosel. With a clear stance, great respect for the classic steep sites, and a fine feel for style, he interprets the region in his own precise way.
His wines combine origin and structure with remarkable clarity: dry Rieslings with tension and energy stand on equal footing with finely balanced Prädikat wines that combine lightness, depth, and drinkability. It is never about effects but about expression, about what site, vintage, and craft together make possible.
At the Burghotel, this dinner spans the breadth of his work. The wines are shown in different facets, from precisely dry Rieslings to his characterful off-dry wines that have a long tradition on the Mosel and find a contemporary interpretation with Haart.
The menu is tuned to take up and accompany the different styles without overlaying them. The result is an evening that explains less and makes tangible what the Mosel can be today.
Julian Haart is regarded as one of the Mosel’s most exciting young winemakers. With a clear focus on steep vineyards and meticulous work in the vines, he interprets Riesling in a precise and distinctive way. His wines combine tension, clarity and fine balance — from dry styles to Prädikat wines — and represent a contemporary expression of the classical Mosel tradition.
