What truly defines a great terroir? Together with Jean Trimbach, Philipp Wittmann, and Katharina Salzgeber of Nikolaihof, Romana Echensperger MW explores this question through three of the world’s most iconic Riesling origins: Alsace, Rheinhessen, and the Wachau.

Across four tasting flights, the panel reveals how terroir expresses itself under vastly different conditions—through both classic and challenging vintages, after years of bottle ageing, and even in rare noble sweet wines. A fascinating journey across slate, limestone, and primary rock, illustrating why truly great terroirs retain their unmistakable identity, even under the most diverse and extreme circumstances.
