Jean Trimbach

Jean Trimbach represents the twelfth generation of the Trimbach family in Alsace. After attending school in Colmar, he studied accounting and business administration in Strasbourg for three years. He then spent nine months in the United States, where he improved his English and gained insight into the American wine market: first with Seagram Chateau & Estate Wines Company in New York, then during harvest at Gundlach Bundschu in Sonoma and Sterling Vineyards in Napa. After returning to France, he went on to Château Mouton Rothschild in Bordeaux before joining the family company, Maison Trimbach, in 1985.
