Martin Donatsch leads Domaine Donatsch in Malans, in Switzerland’s Bündner Herrschaft, as the fifth generation of his family. The estate and the “zum Ochsen” wine tavern have been owned by the Donatsch family for more than 100 years, with the estate’s roots dating back to 1897. Today, Martin Donatsch stands for one of Switzerland’s most distinctive interpretations of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Completer. After completing his winemaking training, he gained international experience in regions including Australia, South Africa, Spain, and Bordeaux. In 2010 and 2011, he was named “Champion du Monde des Producteurs de Pinot Noir” at the Mondial du Pinot Noir. His wines are sought-after rarities, even within Switzerland.
