The Bernkasteler Doctor is widely regarded as one of Germany’s most celebrated vineyard sites and one of the great terroirs of the Riesling world. For centuries, this steep Mosel vineyard has produced wines of remarkable precision, elegance and longevity.
In this exclusive masterclass, Weingüter Wegeler present a selection of vintages from the Bernkasteler Doctor in a rare vertical tasting. By exploring several vintages side by side, participants will gain a unique insight into the influence of vintage conditions, bottle maturity and terroir, while experiencing how great Riesling evolves over time.
The tasting also offers an introduction to the philosophy of Weingüter Wegeler, whose history is closely intertwined with some of Germany’s most prestigious Riesling vineyards.
