Rheinhessen Comes to Lech

On Monday, December 7th, Riesling Day in Lech begins with a special introduction to one of Germany’s most dynamic wine regions. Starting at 9:30 am in the tasting room of Lechwelten, trinkreif hosts a relaxed tasting table featuring three outstanding wineries from Rheinhessen: Wittmann, Knewitz and Wechsler.

Guests are invited to taste freely and at their own pace before the official day program begins at 11 am. The informal setting allows for personal conversations with the winemakers and an unhurried exploration of the wines.

Over the past two decades, Rheinhessen has evolved into one of Germany’s most exciting fine wine regions. Characterised by limestone-rich soils, rolling vineyards and a new generation of quality-driven producers, the region is now internationally recognised for its precise, mineral and expressive wines.

While Riesling will naturally play a leading role, the tasting also highlights the remarkable diversity of Rheinhessen today — from elegant Pinot varieties to distinctive village and single-vineyard wines.
